The Occupy Wall Street movement has brought the plight of the working class to the mainstream. Yet, subjected to that which our modern day American culture has transformed, we still find ourselves willingly submissive to the beckoning of corporate greed as it masks itself before our eyes.
In a New York Times op-ed, author and director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Jeffrey D. Sachs, contend that the Occupy Wall Street movement is perhaps a sign of the end-times for the nation’s gold-plated 1% who have benefited from its 30-year Reagan era.
