In this country, male, religious, tax-exempt “authorities” are granted more access over legislation than the people to whom it affects; where we allow the loudest most absurd voices in the room to get the most airtime because their narrative tends to agree with the ruling majority’s basic tenets of sexism and inequality as supported by “faith”.

For all the Right’s rants of supposed socialist satanists and its slobbering slurs against “aristocratic” Democrats and union “thugs,” it would be nice if it read up on America’s pro-union history.

Tucson shootings: Hostile political discourse and violent propaganda are far-too prevalent to remain blameless
Regardless of inspiration, Jared Lee Loughner did EXACTLY what popular Right wing personalities have been promoting for years. Whether or not he ever even heard of Beck, Limbaugh or Palin is NOT the issue; rather their common rhetoric, on one tragic morning in Arizona, actually came to fruition, and innocent people died.
This past weekend, the devastating effects and aftermath of a real, American terrorist was unleashed at a small gathering in Tucson, AZ – further exemplifying the poisonous backlash of the Right-wing media and its political landscape’s spewed hatred – where physical violence is often not only condoned, but encouraged.
